Caroline Myss
Dr. Caroline Myss received a Ph.D. from Greenwich University, an M.A. from Mundelein/Loyola University, and a B.A. in Journalism from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Dr. Myss teaches in Ubiquity University’s Wisdom School of Graduate Studies and at the undergraduate level. She began her career as a medical intuitive in 1984 when she met Dr. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., a Harvard trained neurosurgeon with an interest in the science of medical intuition. They began a professional collaboration that continues to this day. During their early years together, Dr. Shealy helped Caroline to develop her skills by having her conduct health readings on his patients. During this time, Dr. Myss developed the field of Energy Anatomy, a science that partners specific emotional/psychological/physical/spiritual stress patterns with the specific diseases these patterns create or influence. This analysis proved so accurate that it became the subject of a book co-written by Caroline and Norm, The Creation of Health. In 1996, Caroline compiled her medical intuitive experience with her work in the field of human consciousness for the book, Anatomy of the Spirit, a New York Times bestseller published in 18 languages. Her next book, Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can also became a New York Times bestseller, as did her fifth book, Sacred Contracts.
In 2003, Caroline founded CMED (Caroline Myss Education), her own educational institute. The Institute draws students from 19 nations and across the United States. In 2004, her sixth book, Invisible Acts of Power, again was another New York Times bestseller as was Entering the Castle: Spiritual Direction for Dialoging With Your Soul, published in 2007. Her latest book is Defy Gravity: Healing Beyond the Bounds of Reason, published 2009.
Dr. Myss has taught a number of courses at Ubiquity including at the Chartres Academy.

Dr. Paula Petry
Paula Petry, PhD is an author, speaker, presenter, and energy medicine practitioner. She specializes in stress and burnout, grief and loss, mindfulness, and personal empowerment.
Dr. Paula Petry’s journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal empowerment began with the birth of her daughter, Alexandra, who was born with a severe disability. In lieu of accepting the fate prescribed by physicians, other health professionals, and educators, Paula chose to pave a new path for not only her daughter, but for many others. She became a strong advocate to meet the needs of her daughter and in that she formed what is now one of the leading parent advocacy organization in the country. She brought that knowledge and her passion for family-centered care services to her faculty position at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics— for over a decade preparing pediatricians to work with children with special health care needs. Her daughter’s death brought great loss, suffering, and new beginnings. She studied energy medicine, sound healing, mindfulness, and somatic therapies to heal. She now finds purpose and meaning in helping others pave their path forward to their own bright beginnings.
Dr. Petry has provided hundreds of energy medicine healing sessions to individuals with chronic pain, grief, depression, anxiety, burnout, and high levels of stress. Individuals consistently report higher satisfaction with their lives, a sense of renewal, and a new found purpose and meaning in their lives.
Paula teaches the Regenerative Power of Grief course.
